Brought to responsibility of a head of the medical center department

The Main Department for Combating Corruption under the Prosecutor General is conducting an investigation within the framework of a criminal case on the fact of illegal actions of Ilgar Garajayev, who worked as the head of the department in the legal entity of public law “Sabunchi Medical Center”, oxu.az reports with reference to the press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan .

In the course of the investigation, reasonable suspicions arose that I. Garajayev, while holding the specified position, received a bribe in the amount of more than 18,000 manats in exchange for providing conclusions on the unsuitability for military service of suitable conscripts.

On the basis of the collected preliminary evidence, I. Garajayev was charged under Articles 308.2 (abuse of official powers that entailed grave consequences), 311.3.2 (taking a bribe), 313 (forgery) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Taking into account his age and state of health, a preventive measure in the form of house arrest was chosen by the court against him.
