Trade center manager arrested for embezzling more than 92,000 manat

A criminal case has been initiated on the fact of misappropriation of funds in a shopping center in Khachmaz district, oxu.az reports with reference to the district prosecutor’s office.

Thus, on the basis of an appeal received for misappropriation of funds in the Qayalı shopping center, owned by a local resident Azer Safarov, an investigation was conducted in the supervisory authority.

According to the information, serious suspicions were revealed in the misappropriation of funds in the amount of more than 92,000 manats by a native of this region, Sharafeddin Hajiyev, entrusted to him while working as a manager at the above trade facility.

On this fact, a criminal case was initiated in the prosecutor’s office of the Khachmaz region. Sh. Hajiyev was charged as a defendant under article 179.3.2 (Large misappropriation and embezzlement) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan, by a court decision a preventive measure in the form of arrest was chosen against him.

Currently, investigations into this case are ongoing.
