25 people detained for drug trafficking

Employees of the Agdash District Police Department carried out a number of operations against persons involved in the cultivation of narcotic plants, illegal drug trafficking, as well as persons who committed theft. As a result of the operations, 25 people were detained as suspects, oxu.az reports with reference to the Sheki regional group of the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Thus, as a result of the complex operational-search and preventive measures “Khash-Khash 2023”, 16 people were detained in the district who cultivated hemp. Police officers found and seized a large number of hemp bushes that they had grown in their yards and in the cemetery.

As a result of other operations, eight more people were detained who were involved in drug trafficking in the Agdash region. During a personal search, various types of drugs were found in them, which were presented to the investigation as material evidence.

Investigations are ongoing on these facts.
