An official who created conditions for the illegal seizure of land was detained

A person accused of creating conditions for the illegal seizure of land and carrying out construction work on these lands was detained, minval.az reports with reference to the press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office. Thus, based on information received from the Ministry of Agriculture about the illegal seizure of agricultural land in the Ramana village of Baku by individuals and related construction work, a criminal case was opened under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code, and an investigation is underway in the Main Anti-Corruption Directorate under the General Prosecutor’s Office .

Based on the collected evidence on these facts, A. Aliyev was brought to justice as an accused under articles of the Criminal Code 308.2, 311.3.2 and 311.3.3, and a preventive measure in the form of arrest was chosen against him by a court decision.

Currently, investigative measures are ongoing in order to bring to criminal responsibility other persons involved in the commission of these criminal acts.
