Smugglers’ attempt to cross a frontier prevented

Four members armed group of smugglers was prevented from crossing from Iran to Azerbaijan in the territory of the Goytepe frontier post of the State Border Service of Azerbaijan (SBS), reports APA agency with reference to the SBS press service.

“Trespassers fired on the border-guards and it resulted in the shooting. The border guards repulsed the armed attack professionally and forced the trespassers to run away,” says the reports.

A large amount of drugs were found and seized at the site.

The investigation and search operations are underway on the fact.
