Detained in committing of terrorist attack

Azerbaijani citizen, who is suspected of committing of terrorist attack in Pyatigorsk city of Russia, has been detained, Moscow bureau the APA agency reports quoting the statement issued by Russian National Anti-Terrorism Committee.

According to statement, the security forces have detained 25-year-old Azerbaijani citizen Murad Atayev, 22-year-old Ramazan Khalizov, 60-year-old Vladimir Khalizov, 22-year-old Shamil Abdulazizov, 22-year-old Magomed Ibrahimov and 25-year-old Shamil Gazimagomedov. During the initial investigation, all the detainees confessed to involvement in the bombing.

“The prompt detention of the suspects has prevented another terrorist act,” the statement said.

Criminal cases have been launched on articles 105, 205 and 317 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.

Azerbaijani Ministry of Internal Affairs told APA that investigation is underway on the fact.

On December 27, 2013, the car bomb attack killed three people near the traffic police building in the south-western city of Pyatigorsk.
