Court rejects NIDA members’ appeal

On 16 December 2014 Baku Court of Appeal held a preliminary hearing on the appeal filed against the judgment on imprisoned members of NIDA Civic Movement, APA reports.

The court passed a judgment, rejecting the appeal.

Baku Court of Grave Crimes sentenced Zaur Gurbanli, Ilkin Rustamzadeh and Rashadat Akhundov to 8-year imprisonment, Rashad Hasanov to 7 years 6 months, Bakhtiyar Guliyev to 7 years, Mammad Azizov to 7 years 6 months, Uzeyir Mammadli to 7 years and Shahin Novruzlu to 6 years in prison.

Bakhtiyar Guliyev and Shahin Novruzlu were pardoned by President Ilham Aliyev on October 17.
